Karen started AP Cymru (a registered charity) in 2009, not long after her youngest son received his autism diagnosis at just 22 months old. ​In 2006 her eldest son received his diagnosis and finally, in 2018 Karen received her own diagnosis aged 43. Karen is proud of the neuroinclusive work environment that she has created, ​all of the team are neurodiverse, with the majority autistic, ADHD & dyslexic.

The aim of the Charity is to replace the stigma around neurodiversity and promote a positive perception.  All services are created & tailored around the needs of the children, young people and their families.​ There are more than 1,400 children and their families currently registered for the charities services with referals being received from CAMHS, Social Services, GPs and hospitals, Schools and Local Education Authorities plus other third sector organisations.

Kathryn is a Fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals, an award winning social enterprise leader, and a regular national speaker on inclusive practice, neurodiversity, wellbeing and organisational culture.​​

Elle Elliott is a passionate People and Culture professional, committed to creating inclusive, engaging and high-performing workplaces. With a background that spans multi-sector and global roles in People Strategy, Employee Engagement, Learning and Organisational Development, and Culture Change, Elle excels at using her creative and authentic self to bring about real people-centric interventions that support business goals.

Known for nurturing relationships that are built on trust, collaboration and credibility, Elle partners with leaders to inspire and advocate a people-first mindset in supporting inclusion and belonging in every aspect of the employee experience.

Outside of work, Elle enjoys wild swimming, roller-skating and creative writing, all of which forge a mindful and balanced approach to her work.

Darwin Gray’s Managing Partner and Head of Employment Fflur Jones advises on all aspects of employment law, with a particular expertise and interest in discrimination law. She thrives on bringing and defending complex Employment Tribunal claims. Her advice also ranges from unfair dismissals and redundancy consultations to whistleblowing matters. She often advises on thorny internal disciplinary and grievance issues, including conducting detailed investigations into such issues. A regular contributor to national radio and TV programmes, Fflur is also described by clients as an ‘engaging’, ‘clear’ and ‘informative’ trainer, and delivers courses bilingually on a wide range of employment law topics.

Frances Rees is a Senior National Neurodivergence Development Officer with the National Neurodivergence Team, where she works to strengthen understanding, inclusion and outcomes for neurodivergent people across Wales. Since joining the team in 2017, Frances has brought together her experience in education, children’s services, training and policy to support practical, meaningful change.

She leads on training for the team, helping professionals and organisations build confidence in neuroinclusive practice. Her work includes a strong focus on workforce development, as well as leading updates to the employment section of the website so that information is clear, accessible and relevant.

Frances is passionate about advancing neuroinclusion in employment, improving equity and understanding, and helping create workplaces where neurodivergent people can thrive, not just survive.

Sarah worked for the 3SC on a freelance basis before joining full time in 2022. As well as a coach, she has over 20 years’ experience as a teacher, specialising in English, IT and Maths skills, teaching adults in the workplace. She has also supported people from unemployment into the workplace. At 3SC, as well as coaching across the various contracts, she develops and delivers Neurodiversity Awareness training, manages the Neurodiversity Support Coaching Programme best practice sessions and supports the internal and external team coaches by providing decompression and training sessions.

In describing her coaching style, she is friendly but professional. As someone with ADHD herself, she has first-hand knowledge of the challenges her clients face, from diagnosis to learning to not only live but to thrive with their condition. She supports clients to understand their condition and how it affects them, create their own strategies and create coping mechanisms for the challenging aspects of the conditions. She helps them to see themselves as a whole person, with many valuable skills. In doing so Sarah’s clients leave with the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress in their lives and achieve their goals.

Sarah is based in Swansea South Wales. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time exploring the beautiful beaches and countryside and learning the Welsh language. Sarah is a Member of the Association for Coaching.

I work at the Intellectual Property Office as a Patent Examiner, primarily assessing patent applications relating to medical and physiological measurement devices. I am co-chair of the IPO’s iThink neurodiversity network, which offers peer support for neurodivergent staff as well as promoting awareness of neurodiversity across the office. I am diagnosed as Autistic and am awaiting an assessment for ADHD. I have been involved with iThink since 2019, and have participated in numerous activities including delivering Autism awareness training to patent examining groups, meeting with the IPO Board of Directors to highlight issues faced by neurodivergent staff, and speaking on panel events both in the office and at an external IP firm.
