Sharron is Pro Vice-Chancellor for Further Education and Skills at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Passionate about the transformative potential of education and training, she is also Chair of the Independent Welsh Pay Review Body, which makes recommendations to the Cabinet Secretary for Education on pay and conditions for teachers and leaders in Wales, and a board member of Qualifications Wales. She was appointed by the Minister for Education and the Welsh Language to chair a review of vocational qualifications in Wales, with the report published in 2023.
Prior to this, Sharron was Chief Executive and Principal of Pembrokeshire College, following a career spanning over 20 years in the education and skills sector. Her leadership experience was built on strong foundation during her many years in Marks and Spencer, where she was ultimately responsible for the European Logistics operation, based in Paris.
Sharron lives in Saundersfoot, is married with one daughter, and when not working, enjoys music reading and horse riding. She was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for Dyfed in 2010.
