Event Summary

Join Policy Insight Wales this July for our third annual LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Wales Conference, chaired by Pride Cymru, and learn how to embed a real culture of diversity, inclusion and respect for all.

Following the publication of the LGBTQ+ Action Plan for Wales in 2023, organisations across Wales have been working hard to strengthen LGBTQ+ inclusion. However, there is still work to be done to improve the experiences of LGBTQ+ people and to create a society where everyone feels free to be themselves.

Bringing together colleagues from across the private, public and third sectors, you will hear how to ensure your organisation is inclusive from the top-down. Understand the importance of LGBTQ+ visibility at all levels and how to create safe spaces for colleagues to share their experiences. How do we create a Wales where everyone feels free, safe to be open about their sexual orientation, gender, and gender expression?

In the workplace, employers must embed a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and harassment in the workplace. Hear how you can recruit and retain LGBTQ+ talent and stamp out discrimination to ensure that your organisation is a physically and psychologically safe space.

We will address the implications of the recent Supreme Court ruling and share practical advice on how to support trans rights and keep inclusion on the agenda in the current climate.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to network, learn and strengthen equality and inclusion for LGBTQ+ communities across Wales.
