Event Summary
Join Policy Insight Wales for our timely, half-day Disability Inclusion in the Workplace Wales Conference in Cardiff this February.
The conference will bring together Welsh employers of all sizes to explore disability inclusion in practice, including ways to support employees with invisible disability, neurodivergence, and mental health conditions. How can your organisation build a truly inclusive workplace and reap the benefits of a diverse workforce?
The Welsh Government is developing a 10-year Disabled People’s Rights Plan, aiming to advance the rights and opportunities of all disabled people in Wales. Equal access to work is essential for disabled people’s independence, dignity, and participation in society. Despite this, disabled people in Wales are 50% less likely to be in employment and more likely to experience in-work poverty. Explore your organisation’s role in helping to close the disability employment gap in Wales.
With 28% of the working age population in Wales having a disability, now is the time to rethink your access and inclusion strategies. Find out how your organisation can remove barriers to work and create a supportive environment where disabled people can thrive in their careers. Support your line managers to have conversations about disability, and tackle stigma, bias, and discrimination.
The day will feature lived experience, policy updates, and best practice case studies from across Wales. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to network with colleagues and improve your understanding of disability inclusion in the workplace. Take steps now to create an accessible equitable thriving workplace.
