Two years on from the Welsh Government’s Anti-Racist Action Plan, what progress has been made in Wales? With reports of racist incidents in schools, local communities, and even in football, more action must be taken to create the kind of society that roots racism out from the source. What part can we all play in making the plan a reality? What more needs to be done?
Join Policy Insight Wales for our annual Creating an Anti-Racist Wales Conference to gain key insights from policymakers and a diverse line up of speakers from across the private, voluntary, and public sectors.
The nature of anti-racism is institutional, cultural, and personal. You will hear from organisations such as the Race Equality First, Welsh Government, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, Cardiff Metropolitan University, South Wales Police, Race Council Cymru, National Library of Wales, and Network Rail as they share their anti-racist approach. Learn from police, local government, and third sector organisations as they discuss procedures for reporting racist incidents and tackling hate crime across Wales.
Anti-racism means committing time and resources, unpacking biases, and changing your organisation-wide practices. Explore the next steps for the Race Equality Charter, and how you can implement the Charter in your organisation.
This timely and important conference will spotlight anti-racist practices, practical steps, best practice and lived experience from across Wales. Don’t miss the opportunity to network with colleagues from a range of industries, and do your part in making Wales an anti-racist society.
Brochure can be provided in Welsh. Cysylltwch am y llyfryn Cymraeg – email info@policyinsight.wales.
